It’s #throwbackthursday and we all just loveeeeeeeeeee digging out those old photos and stories, so I figured it was a great opportunity to share a post that I’ve written, where I have spent some time reflecting upon my ideas about bucket lists and my life well travelled, so enjoy!

2014 in reflection – Ticking off my Bucket List
About this time last year, I posted about Bucket List’s (check it out: http://mytravelust.com/2013/12/30/is-a-bucket-list-the-new-new-years-resolution/) and how for me, having a list of goals and experiences that I want to achieve helps me to live in the moment and ensure that I’m being true to myself and living the life that I’ve always imagined. A life filled with love, people, places and most importantly new experiences that keep pushing my boundaries, so that I can continue to learn and grow.
Well, as I sit here at 2am on the 1st of January 2015, the year in reflection ended up being pretty darn RAD!
A Cuban crush!
A couple of weeks back I posted my answer to that difficult question for a seasoned traveller ‘What’s your FAVOURITE travel destination’, and If you missed it, my responses were Canada, Peru, Cuba, South Africa and Nepal.
I’ve since posted the reasoning behind my decisions for Canada and Peru, and now its Cuba’s turn.
I should admit early on that I only spent 2 weeks in Cuba, so I’m not going to proclaim to know all there is to it or that I experienced everything that Cuba has to offer. However, when asked the question about my favourite travel destinations, Cuba always pops into my head and the fact that a place can get under your skin, in such a short amount of time, definitely means something to me.
Live it up till it’s gone! (The Swisse Color Run, Bucket list moment)
2014 is zooming by, and at the start of the year I wrote about my thoughts on ‘Bucket List’s’ being the new ‘New Year’s Resolution’.
I described a Bucket list as a chance to think about your wildest dreams and passions, and make a list of experiences you wanted to have (big or small), so that you could have something tangible to work towards for that coming year.
Well, my list is longgggggggggggggggggg. Not specifically to achieve this year, but for my life in general and after having the privilege of ticking off a lot from my list last year, I didn’t expect to get close to that this year…. but I think I may be wrong.
